Happenings

Merriam-Webster
happening
Function: noun
Date: 1551
2: an event or series of events designed to evoke a spontaneous reaction to sensory, emotional, or spiritual stimuli

First coined by American artist Alan Kaprow in the late 1950s, a "happening" became a term used in the 1960s to describe a particular type of artistic event. These occasions feature simultaneous performances from a variety of disciplines, such as music, dance, art, and drama, resulting in an overall aesthetic experience. Both improvisation and audience participation are encouraged. Because of their singular nature, no two events are ever alike or repeatable. In essence, then, a happening is an art form.

In addition to my work with private clients, I often make guest reading and teaching appearances. Please refer to this page for my upcoming schedule. I do hope to see you there!
