Nutrition

A very wise guru once said to a disciple: "You cannot eat yourself into heaven; do what is best for you." I have sometimes been asked why I made the personal choice of becoming Vegetarian a few years ago. Although, who knows? This may change, too, as all things do. My decision was sparked by reading the following statement by Plutarch, the celebrated philosopher of Ancient Greece who had served for many years as a priest of the Delphic Oracle:

But for the sake of some little mouthful of flesh
we deprive a soul of the sun and light,
and of that proportion of life and time
it had been born into the world to enjoy.
